Duck Tour

Touted as Malaysia’s first land-and-sea adventure this tour ‘duck-bus’ is definitely the most entertaining way to explore Melaka. Although its mascot is a little cheesy (a giant duck that vaguely resembles Donald Duck), this approximately one-hour journey will take you to visit all the historic sites in Malacca in one go. all the historic sites in Malacca in one nifty little journey.

Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC)

After an exhausting day touring the city, it may be a good idea to kick back, relax and watch one of the latest blockbusters gracing our screens. Fortunately for visitors, Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall is home to Golden Screen Cinemas which show everything from Western blockbusters to Bollywood flicks.

Melaka River Pirate Park

Housing the well-known, and recently relocated, Eye on Malacca – a giant gondola-style Ferris wheel which spins very slowly for about 20 minutes – this latest attraction also features a pirate ship and trampoline bungee-jump that is popular amongst visitors.More Info.

Menara Taming Sari

This 360-degree revolving gyro tower – the first of its kind in Malaysia – may not look like much from the ground but it offers an unobstructed view of Malacca. The controversial 80m high tourist magnet is thought to be an eyesore by many and queuing time can be long but it’s a good way to get a bird’s eye view of city as well as all the way out to the Straits of Malacca.

River Cruise

Head down the Venice of the East on this daily 40-minute riverboat trip (minimum eight people). Once a trade and commerce centre for the Melaka Malay Sultanate, this waterway now serves simply as a gentle reminder of its bountiful past. Cruises don’t go out to sea but rather 9km upriver past Kampung Morten and old godowns (riverside warehouses).

Trishaw Ride

This laid-back and colourful ride is perfect for those who don’t want to trek through the streets in the hot and humid air. Able to navigate corners that most other vehicles wouldn’t, it is especially handy to visitors who have no foreknowledge of Malacca, so you should definitely try it out on your first visit.
